Residents Affected by Flood in Rambutan Urban Village Have Been Evacuated

Total 51 joint personnel evacuated residents on Jl. Diklat Depsos RT 12/02 Rambutan Urban Village, Ciracas, East Jakarta whose houses were flooded due to overflowing Cipinang River on Monday (11/1) afternoon.

Tens joint personnel equipped with two rubber boats and three large tires patrol the area to evacuate residents to Rambutan Urban Village Office. Evacuation was carried out because their houses were flooded as high as 80 centimeters.

Ciracas Water Resources (SDA) Unit Coordinator, Deby mentioned, joint personnel involved in this evacuation consisted of 35 SDA Unit personnel, 10 PPSU personnel, and 6 East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency personnel.

"We have evacuated total 6 people, from toddlers to elderly, to Rambutan Urban Village Office," she informed.

According to her, flood occurred when it rained heavily around 14:00. Cipinang River started to overflow around 15:30, but around 16:30 it gradually receded. Currently the inundation is as high as 40-50 centimeters.

"It inundated settlements on the banks of Cipinang River," she conveyed.
